MEAL Manager

Under the Supervision of a Meal Coordinator and a Field Office (FO) Coordinator, the MEAL Manager will support the development and implementation of the overall MEAL system for the FO and ensure the implementation of MEAL activities in all Projects' cycles working closely with the Programme teams.

The MEAL MANAGER WILL PRIMARILY FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

Monitoring:

• support Programme and MEAL team in reporting data regarding projects' achievements against projects' indicators;
• support Programme team in the collection of quality data;
• manage collected data, following Data Protection SOP;
• design data reporting tools for Programme staff with the help of MEAL Coordination.

Evaluation:

• plan and supervise evaluation activities, such as Needs Assessments, PDM surveys, Satisfaction Surveys, Baseline and Endline Surveys, etc.
• conduct data cleaning, carry out data analyses, and draft reports from data collected through evaluation activities;
• design evaluation methodologies and data collection tools supported by MEAL Coordination;
• train MEAL team and Programme staff on the evaluation tools; and supervise evaluation data collection.

Accountability:

• supervise the functioning of the FCRM,
• organize regular beneficiaries' feedback collection using different methodologies, such as FGDs, surveys, etc.,
• analyze the state of accountability of the FO and understand if new feedback and complaint channels are required and design them with the help of MEAL Coordination,
• do capacity building to Programme staff regarding Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP).

Learning:

• Design and facilitate lessons learned workshops with program staff;
• disseminate the information and learning captured through learning workshops with program staff and from the FCRM through different channels (reports, learning events, etc.) for informed decision-making and adaptive management for the program.

THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS YOU MUST HAVE TO OBTAIN THIS POSITION:

• University degree in social science or other sectors related to social work; in addition, technical courses on data management are preferred
• Intermediate English
• Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and Access Dbase platforms.
• Experience/knowledge in using data collection and analysis platforms such as KoBoToolbox;

YOU MUST HAVE PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN:

• The MEAL field (minimum 1 year);
• Humanitarian programming and social work (minimum 1 year);
• Managing positions, managing teams (minimum 1 year);
• Planning and facilitating training, advising and coaching a team;
• Designing and delivering training;
• Data collection, analysis and management and reporting;
• Working experience (or at least knowledge) in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and techniques is a plus.
