The idea — «Wifi & Bed»

wifibed.net is an alternative short/mid term accommodation network for digital nomads, travelers and hosts.

There are lots of unused, relatively livable spaces. At the same time commercial accommodation is getting too expensive. wifibed.net is a bet that people will share their unused living spaces for a reasonable price if they can make and informed choice whom to share with. Equally, travelers want to have an idea about who the host is.

At wifibed.net

• Travelers find affordable accommodation.
• Travelers choose roomates to split their hotel room price with (shack-up).
• Hosts rent-out their unused living spaces to the travelers they chose.
• Hotels and hosts post their unsold «gap» nights (last minute deals).

Or a more managerial way to put it — «We are democratizing the rental market»:)

On wifibed.net travelers and hosts can introduce themselves through their profiles.

With a profile:

• Hosts get an idea who the traveler is and can choose whom to rent to.
• Travelers can chose rentals better by having an idea who the host is.
• Travelers can submit booking requests to multiple places they like. Saving time and hassle of calling each host and going through intrusive questioning.
• Travelers in the same city can choose roommates they invite to split the rent (shack-up).

The platform will be very visual and low entry, easy to use.

Team

The team will be comprised of a few very experienced IT Craftsmen. Expect a mature craftsmanship environment — no managers, full responsibility and opinionated creative freedom.
