Job Description

We seek a talented Jr. Shopify Liquid Theme Developer to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with foundational knowledge in Shopify theme development and a desire to grow their expertise in Liquid, Shopify’s templating language. The role involves assisting in creating custom Shopify themes and modifying existing themes under the guidance of senior developers. Familiarity with front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, is required. Experience with React, NextJS, and Remix is a significant plus, as these skills will be invaluable in developing advanced eCommerce solutions. The candidate should also have a good grasp of English to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to team members and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and implementing custom Shopify themes based on specific client requirements.
• Help modify and enhance existing Shopify themes to improve functionality and user experience.
• Collaborate with the design team to translate visual concepts into functional online experiences.
• Learn and apply best practices for cross-browser compatibility and website performance optimization.
• Stay engaged with eCommerce trends and technologies to support our clients' sites.
• Work alongside backend developers to integrate third-party services and APIs.
• Support technical documentation and assist clients and team members.

Qualifications

• Basic experience in Shopify theme development, including familiarity with Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Exposure to or interest in learning modern JavaScript frameworks (React, NextJS, Remix) is desirable.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality web pages.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and eagerness to tackle cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive learning mindset.
• Good communication skills, with proficiency in English.
• Ability to work well in both independent and team settings.
• A strong interest in eCommerce and web development technologies.
