About Serve Freight
Serve Freight is a U.S.-based freight brokerage startup entering its second year. Our team is split between the U.S. (in our Asheville, NC, USA office) and Ukraine (remote). With a mission bigger than logistics, we’re building a company grounded in excellence, transparency, integrity, quality, and service. This is an opportunity to help shape a business from the ground up.
As a BDR, you won’t just make calls and send emails—you'll be helping shape our growth. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, reaching out to potential clients (especially around trade shows and events), organizing our CRM (HubSpot), and keeping our outreach efforts focused and productive.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on connection, loves research, and is excited to support a small, high-energy team going places.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Outreach
- Research and reach out to companies attending trade shows we’re involved in
- Send targeted emails and LinkedIn messages to generate interest and book meetings
- Make cold calls to learn about companies and uncover logistics needs (not closing/pitching)
- Maintain a high volume of outreach while staying personal and professional
CRM & Organization
- Keep our HubSpot CRM clean, organized, and up to date
- Tag, segment, and track prospects through the sales funnel
- Send follow-ups on behalf of the CEO and track responses
Meeting Support & Scheduling
- Coordinate meetings between prospects and our CEO
- Draft and send recap/follow-up emails after events or calls
- Log insights and key takeaways in our CRM for future reference
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and accountability
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning CRM tools (like HubSpot, ZoomInfo, etc.)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Research-driven — you enjoy learning about companies and industries
- Comfortable with high-volume outreach (emails, calls, LinkedIn)
- Aligned with our mission and startup mindset — resourceful, proactive, and purpose-driven
What Success Looks Like
- You’re consistently booking qualified meetings for the CEO
- Outreach campaigns are targeted, consistent, and well-documented
- CRM is clean, detailed, and actionable
- Trade show leads are well-researched and followed up on
- You bring energy, insight, and reliability to the team every day
