WordPress Developer

Hey there! We’re a passionate team of engineers, working on designing products, market products, and developing them. For this position, we’re looking for a Middle Wordpress Developer who will land in our core team, develop complex solutions for our clients, and bring additional expertise to our team.

We are focusing on two branches now, one of which is WordPress, it takes about 70% of our projects now, and another is React & Vue.js, which takes another 30%. Our WP development expertise is pretty advanced, we’re using component-based structure for building custom themes, and believe that this tool is one of the best on the market for mid-sized websites.

About the project and team:

We do have an Elementor developer who fills out some of our needs, but your work is not gonna be aligned with page builders. Mostly our stack within WordPress is: ACF, Gravity Forms, Nitro Pack/WP Rocket, WooCommerce, etc. We are all into purchasing paid plugins and tools, so you’ll be working without any cracked plugins / themes — that is an important part of respecting other developers' hard work.

Our top clients are AstraZeneca, Nasdaq, and NDA major American manufacturing company, but you’ll also be working with classic ecommerce, local business websites, solving sometimes complex and sometimes simple, boring tasks. That’s life, buddy.

We’ll try to find your strength and put more work toward it. Neither you, nor more frontend, backend, devops, with time we’ll specify your qualification and put you in the right spot where you’ll be more valuable and what you do like the best to do.

Technical Stack:

• WordPress (custom theme and plugins development, architecture)
• PHP/MySQL
• HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• REST API, and knowledge of performance optimization
• WooCommerce Development
• Zepier
• Git/Bitbucket/AWS

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and security
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to implement website features and functionality
• Optimize websites for speed, scalability, and SEO performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including debugging and updating code
• Integrate third-party APIs and tools as needed
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, version control (Git), and best practices
• Stay updated on WordPress trends, tools, and updates

Must have:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in development on WordPress using PHP
• Solid experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with WooCommerce Development
• Experience working with MySQL
• English — Upper Intermediate

Nice to have:

• Understanding of database organization and formulas in Airtable
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL
• Experience with component-based projects

We’re working with the US market, so internal meetings usually happen within 16:00 — 20:00 Kyiv time. We could rarely have meetings up to 23:00 if we need you on a client meeting.

Our whole team is in Ukraine in the European timezone, so we’re trying to adjust meeting times to the European timezone. You’re not required to work at night.
