Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) is founded by seven Dutch political parties in 2000 in order to assist political parties in new and developing democracies.

NIMD’s vision is to support multiparty political systems and capacity building for political parties and political groupings to sustain stable, pluralistic democracies. Through its support, NIMD aims to contribute to deepening and sustaining democratic political institutions in young democracies.
