Why Laravel?

-​ Back then in 2012 I made the right choice. Among Zend, YII, Symphony - Laravel was
standing out with clean structure, powerful utility layers and full control over project structure /
Architecture. The only minor issue was webpack in early versions of Laravel, which was
 replaced with L-mix in newer versions. For the last 7+ years I have kept front-end standalone
( Vite Vue) and consume Laravel REST API.

Angular React Vue?

-​ I’ve chosen Vue due to amazing state management, a variety of tools for two way data
binding and lightweight.

Database choice?

-​ I’m using Mysql by default unless there is no strict NoSQL requirement from business. To
optimize performance REDIS cache is applied selectively. Data is accessed using a
repository.

Do you use AI?

-​ I guess not as much as others do. I do not enjoy the vibe coding approach, yet some tasks
are great for generative models. For example - translation of i18n into basically any language.

Devops / Server?

Usually I was in charge of Cloud server setup on my projects. Typical setup:

DigitalOcean or AWS EC2, Ubuntu latest LTS, Nginx, DB, BB Pipelines if client agreed.

Design patterns?

My core goals - readability and performance. To meet them I do utilize all recommended Laravel
Layers plus several extra ( Services, Transformers, Repo). This allows me to keep models and
controllers slim enough
