Technology Coach

A designated position to provide instruction and support to build faculty capacity for the use of technology. This coach will help teachers develop the skills necessary to use sophisticated technology in their professional efficiency. This coach will also help the teachers integrate technology into their instructional practice and help teachers pass on these skills to their respective students.

Duties:

• Technology integration support for teachers and grade-level teams
• Classroom instructional support through co-teaching and modeling
• Build awareness of technology resources
• Model technology integration strategies to support differentiation
• Provide differentiated professional growth opportunities for staff
• Work with IT support staff to support technology integration
• Support decision-making for technology purchases
• Communicate with stakeholders
• Present technology updates to faculty, leadership, board and community
• Advocate for inclusive technology policies
• Administering academic tests

Experience, characteristics, and qualifications:

• Strong understanding of technology integration
• Ability to differentiate professional development for adults
• Experience with adult learners
• Experience with school technology devices
• Ability to problem-solve
• Knowledge of GDPR compliance requirements
• Effective spoken and written communication in English

Certifications/licensure requirements:

• Appropriate post-secondary academic preparation
• Certificates of course completion
