It is my honor to recommend Mr. Ivan Shuba, for a position within your organization. Ivan was employed by AquaSafe Pool Management, Inc. each summer since 2013. Ivan proved quickly that he was well- suited to take on more responsibilities in a leadership position as he progressed from Lifeguard to Pool Manager to Recreational Leader in just 3 years. Ivan has held the position of Recreational Leader each subsequent season.
AquaSafe Pool Management, Inc., established in 2006, is a full service pool management company providing management, staffing, repairs and other services for commercial pool facilities in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In order to reach our staffing needs, AquaSafe employs not only local workers from the United States, but also students participating in the J-1 Summer Work and Travel Program and H2B Visa holders as Lifeguards, Pool Managers, Supervisors and other seasonal leadership positions. AquaSafe has hosted hundreds of students and young adults over the past twelve years, and Ivan certainly stood out from the crowd. His excellent communication skills, professionalism and sense of responsibility are just a few of Ivan’s qualities that contributed to our decision to hire him as a Recreational Leader.
For this position, in addition to the qualities I have mentioned, we look for someone who not only demonstrates a great understanding of the Lifeguard position, but a passion for safety and providing excellent customer service. He is flexible, dedicated and motivated to work on any project that is assigned to him. Some of his primary responsibilities included overseeing the schedule, safety and ongoing training of lifeguards and pool managers at assigned aquatic facilities, as well as communicating with clients and troubleshooting any issues they may have. In all of his roles, Ivan was well-liked and respected by the residents and patrons of his swimming pool facilities as well as with his fellow staff members and supervisors. He was always punctual and able to work well under pressure. His direct supervisor describes him as an inquisitive and focused worker, who often goes above and beyond his duties. Each year, numerous clients specifically request to work with Ivan the following season. We would certainly love to have Ivan as a member of our team again in the future, and I believe that his work ethic combined with his drive to succeed will make him an asset to any role he pursues.
