Steady career growth from the beginning position of Project Analyst to Business Intelligence Analyst and Senior Business Controls Group Analyst. The latest position involves implementation of ASC 606 standard, Order-to-Cash controls, description of changing company's business processes, creation and testing of controls for various business cycles with the focus on revenue. Prior responsibilities involved financial analysis of multiple projects' and clients' portfolio, creation and maintenance of company-level reports with Oracle, Spotfire and other specialized systems' integration.
Duties and activities:
•Tested, reviewed the testing of various internal control primarily in Revenue area of financial reporting.
•Identified business processes workflows by communicating to all involved functional groups, created flowcharts using MS Visio, identified risks and mitigating controls for those.
•Took charge and improved several company-wide pieces of reporting, developed TIBCO Spotfire dashboards, improving Company’s reporting capabilities, received multiple appraisals for these accomplishments. This happened while I was giving away streamlined reporting responsibilities, training personnel and making sure they fully understand all peculiarities of the involved processes.
•Performed rebate, KPI, and Forex effect calculation using several methods for key clients (greatly improved working files and facilitated large FX savings from one key client).
•Developed, maintained and enhanced variable considerations’ SOX control (built FX control from scratch, aligned it with Bonus/Penalty/KPI control, created multiple check processes for both).
•Performed project-driven financial analysis (successfully managing diverse project portfolio) working closely with Project and Functional Leads, Contract Managers and Support/Billing staff.
•Completed month-end closures including profitability review, variance analysis, audit and SOX compliance tasks.
•Participated in development and correction of project budgets, Changes in Scope, and closure activities on the projects.
