English translator, interpreter

Job brief

MIYAMOTO Ukraine has been involved in the humanitarian restoration of buildings damaged by the Russian attack since 2022. We have common projects with international organizations such as UN, USAID, and JICA. Since the beginning of MIYAMOTO’s work in Ukraine, our specialists have inspected 30,000 damaged objects, and 7,000 of them have been put into operation. We are currently looking for a highly skilled translator to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Translate a variety of documents from English into Ukrainian and vice versa, while maintaining the content, context, and tone of the original text
• Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure accuracy, completeness, and fluency
• Interpret for business meetings and events, conveying the message accurately and objectively
• Conduct research on construction-specific terminology and translate technical documents
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work
• Communicate with clients to clarify project requirements and ensure satisfaction
• Maintain confidentiality and protect the integrity of sensitive information

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role
• Additional certification in Linguistics or Translation
• Fluency in Ukrainian, written and spoken, proficiency in English
• Strong research skills to ensure accurate translations of technical or construction-specific materials
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong focus on precision and a dedication to delivering excellent work
