WordPress Developer with WooCommerce Expertise

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer with specialized skills in WooCommerce for a project-based role at 52North. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up new web stores from scratch, focusing on selling nutraceutical products. This includes both front-end and back-end development, ensuring a seamless, functional, and visually appealing online store.

Key Responsibilities

• WordPress and WooCommerce Setup: Build and configure a fully operational web store using WordPress and WooCommerce from the ground up.
• Theme Customization: Select, install, and customize WordPress themes to match the brand and functional requirements of the nutraceutical web store.
• Plugin Integration: Integrate and configure essential plugins, including Metorik for enhanced eCommerce analytics and reporting.
• Front-end and Back-end Development: Ensure robust and efficient back-end functionalities while also creating a user-friendly front-end experience.
• Testing and Optimization: Conduct thorough testing across different devices and browsers to ensure optimal performance and user experience. Implement SEO best practices and optimize site speed.
• Maintenance and Updates: Provide ongoing support and updates as needed for the website to ensure it runs smoothly with the latest features and security updates.

Ideal Candidate

• Expertise in WordPress and WooCommerce: Proven track record of successful WordPress and WooCommerce implementations.
• Front-end and Back-end Skills: Strong capabilities in both front-end and back-end development. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP is essential.
• Experience with Metorik: Familiarity with Metorik or similar eCommerce analytics tools is highly beneficial.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues that arise during the development process.
• Project Management: Excellent organizational skills to manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English, especially in writing, as all project coordination and documentation will be conducted in English.

Work Arrangement

• Location: Remote. This position is open to global candidates who can work remotely in coordination with our team.
• Project Basis: This is a project-based role with the potential for future projects depending on performance and business needs.
