Job description

The mission of UAMH is to fight for the mental health of our nation. We teach Ukrainians to listen to themselves and not be afraid to seek help from psychologists when they need support. Through our network of partners, we create psychoeducational content and provide free psychological counseling for vulnerable populations. The Executive Director of UA Mental Help is a dynamic leadership position responsible for guiding and advancing the mission and strategic goals of our nonprofit organization. We are seeking a highly motivated, visionary, and results-oriented individual to lead our team, foster growth, and make a positive impact on the communities we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the organization’s strategic plan, aligning it with the mission and vision, and ensuring that all activities and programs support these goals.
  • Program Oversight: Oversee all nonprofit programs, ensuring their alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives. Monitor program performance and impact, making data-driven improvements.
  • Fundraising and Resource Development: Lead efforts to secure funding through grants, donations, sponsorships, and other revenue streams. Build and maintain relationships with donors, foundations, and partners.
  • Financial Management: Manage the organization’s budget, financial sustainability, and reporting. Ensure prudent fiscal management, including overseeing audits and financial compliance.
  • Board and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the board of directors, providing updates on the organization’s activities, performance, and strategic direction. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders and government agencies.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support a dedicated team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Encourage a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Advocacy and Public Relations: Represent the organization in the community and advocate for its mission and interests. Build awareness and positive public perception of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, social sciences, business).
  • Proven leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, including strategic planning and program management.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and resources.
  • Track record of successful fundraising, including grant writing and donor relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and public-speaking skills.
  • Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team toward common goals.
  • Passion for the organization’s mission and commitment to social impact.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
