The app is the world’s most downloaded app in the book summary niche and is among the top 10 most downloaded educational apps in the US on App Store and Google Play.     We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team. You will be responsible for various tasks, including ensuring accurate financial records, risk identification and mitigation, payments reconciliation with key suppliers and partners, and ad-hoc reports to senior management. Your role will involve monitoring payment schedules and providing valuable insights to support financial operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a solid understanding of financial principles and practices.

This position also allows you to take ownership and responsibility for critical aspects of our financial operations, allowing you to contribute significantly to the company’s success.

    What will you do:

    1. Control the correctness of reporting processes and results:

    • Conduct periodical manual recalculation of key reporting items to create a controlling environment to identify possible mistakes.

    2. Risk Control Participation:

    • Participate in the company’s risk control system development and monitor compliance with the risk matrix.

    3. Payment Control:

    • Reconcile received invoices against expense records in the company’s financial systems.
    • Maintain a payment calendar for key suppliers, track outgoing and incoming payments, monitor payment deadlines, and ensure timely payments.

    4. Subscription Management:

    • Create and manage the list of subscriptions, collaborating with Operations and Development Operations to optimize subscriptions.
    • Oversee and control subscription costs.

    What do you need to join us:

    • 1−2 years of work experience as a Financial Controller or similar role is a plus.
    • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and analysis.
    • Proficient in financial software and MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills.
    • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Excellent attention to details and accuracy.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior.
    • Upper-intermediate or higher English level.
