Job description
Join Our Team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist!
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for maintaining accurate financial records? If so, we’re looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team at Lemberg Group Inc. As a leading transportation company, we are committed to excellence in all aspects of our operations, and we need a dedicated professional to manage our accounts receivable processes.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and send out invoices to customers on a timely basis
- Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments from customers
- Issue customer account statements and reconciliation
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Correspond with customers to address inquiries and resolve billing issues
- Maintain accurate records of invoicing and collections activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and resolution of customer payment issues
- Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings, including sales tax, fuel tax, and other industry-specific tax requirements.
- Evaluate and implement accounting software and systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounting, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems and MS Excel, QuickBooks
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
