About the Role

The Carrier Sales Specialist acts as the key link between customers and carriers. This role focuses on securing reliable capacity, negotiating competitive rates, and ensuring freight moves efficiently while meeting company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post and manage available loads across multiple load boards
  • Negotiate rates with carriers and shippers to meet margin and service goals
  • Source, vet, and maintain relationships with reliable carriers
  • Coordinate pickups and deliveries to ensure on-time performance
  • Communicate clearly with customers and carriers throughout the freight process
  • Monitor market trends to optimize pricing and margins
  • Manage freight documentation and compliance requirements

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in carrier sales, logistics, or freight brokerage preferred
  • Strong understanding of transportation and freight market dynamics
  • Proven negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
