Job description

About Serve Freight

Serve Freight is a third-party logistics (3PL) operator built on execution, accountability, and clear communication. We move freight across FTL, LTL, specialized, and project logistics through our branded product suite: ServeLogistics (brokerage and managed transportation), ServeProjects (complex and project freight), and ServeAssure (high-value freight protection and visibility).

We give our carrier sales team access to one of the largest carrier networks in North America, competitive payment programs, and enterprise-grade TMS infrastructure.

We are not a volume-at-all-costs shop. We value strong relationships, follow-through, and operators who take ownership of outcomes.

Position Summary

Serve Freight is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative to own carrier capacity execution for customer freight. This role is responsible for sourcing carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring reliable coverage across assigned lanes. This is an execution-focused individual contributor role. As Serve Freight continues to scale, high performers will be considered for future team lead responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, and capacity coverage across assigned lanes
  • Manage freight across varying complexity levels, from standard FTL to specialized and project loads
  • Protect margin while maintaining service reliability and strong carrier relationships
  • Build and maintain a dependable network of repeat carrier partners
  • Resolve carrier issues and service exceptions quickly and professionally
  • Partner closely with customer sales and operations teams to ensure clean execution
  • Maintain accurate, timely records within TMS systems
  • Provide ongoing market feedback on pricing, capacity, and lane conditions

Qualifications

  • 1−2+ years of carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics experience
  • Ability to independently source and cover freight while managing margin
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Organized, dependable, and accountable
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment
  • Experience with load boards and TMS platforms preferred

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent, reliable coverage of customer freight
  • Strong utilization of repeat carrier partners
  • Minimal escalations and service failures
  • Clean handoffs and accurate documentation
  • Trusted execution partner to internal teams

Growth Path

High performers in this role will have a clear opportunity to grow into senior carrier sales and team lead positions as the business scales.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives
  • Autonomy and ownership over execution
  • Exposure to complex freight and strategic lanes
  • Clear growth pathway tied directly to performance
  • A culture built on accountability, execution, and trust
