Job description
About us
SIGTAX Luxembourg is a growing Chartered Accountant firm based in Luxembourg, offering legal, tax, accounting and corporate solutions to clients around the globe. We work closely with entrepreneurs, startups, investment funds and international businesses. Our diverse and collaborative team operates remotely, staying connected through clear communication and a shared focus on excellence.
We’re currently growing at a fast pace, and our legal department needs an extra pair of hands to keep up with the workload — which is why we’re looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to join our remote team. This is a hybrid role combining administrative and legal responsibilities, ideal for a junior legal professional looking to gain international experience in corporate and commercial law while also being actively engaged in client communications. We’re happy to invest time in training and helping you grow into the role.
Your Role
Your work will be divided into two main areas:
Legal Assistance
- Draft standard legal documents (e.g. service agreements, NDAs, POAs, resolutions)
- Assist with legal structuring tasks related to company formation, licensing, and compliance
- Work under supervision of experienced legal advisors, with access to clear templates and procedures
- Perform basic legal research and help interpret relevant laws and guidelines
KYC & Compliance Support
- Conduct client due diligence (CDD/KYC) checks from start to finish
- Perform open-source background checks (e.g. Google searches, sanctions lists)
- Ensure proper archiving and formatting of compliance documents
What You’ll Gain
This role is a great opportunity to build real, hands-on expertise in the service provider industry in Luxembourg. You’ll develop a solid understanding of tax and operational fundamentals, and get exposed to a wide range of client business goals — which will teach you what really matters at the moment a business is being set up, both in Luxembourg and more broadly. You’ll get close to the day-to-day concerns of real entrepreneurs, draft documentation hands-on, and collaborate with our other offices in Monaco, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein, broadening your understanding of international tax. You’ll also regularly interact with clients from different cultures and backgrounds — overall, a role designed to genuinely widen your horizons and help you grow professionally.
What We’re Looking For
- University degree in Law
- Up to 3 years of professional legal experience (Corporate/Commercial/Tax/Civil Law)
- Clear and confident communication skills, especially in written English
- Attention to detail and ability to organize information effectively
- Proactive attitude and ability to follow up independently
- Strong interest in international legal and corporate matters
- Basic knowledge of compliance procedures (KYC/AML) is a plus
- Experience using Trello or similar task-tracking systems is an asset
What We Offer
- Remote work with flexible structure
- Competitive salary
- Exposure to real-life international legal work and client management
- Friendly and multicultural team
- Clear processes and accessible support from senior colleagues
- Possibility of long-term collaboration and professional growth
Our Hiring Process
- Interview — a conversation covering your communication skills and hard skills, plus a general discussion about your background and expectations
- Test Assignment — a short practical task, max 2 hours
- Follow-up Call — if needed, to clarify any remaining questions before an offer
How to Apply
If you are interested in joining our team, please send your application in English, including your CV, either:
