Logistics, Import Operations Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a full-time Logistics / Import Operations Specialist to support a growing international account.

The client is based in China, so the role can be performed from Ukraine during Ukrainian business hours, which may provide a good overlap with the client’s working day. Some coordination with the clearance team in the US will also be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the documentation and operational process.
• Create an S# (shipment/reference number) for each container
• Upload and maintain all required shipping and customs documentation
• Prepare and file ISF (Importer Security Filing)
• Send clearance requests to CBS (Customs and Border Services / clearance team)
• Ensure all shipment information and documentation is complete and accurate
• Post invoices to the client promptly after the required shipment milestones
• Make sure invoices are posted in time to be included in the client’s weekly statement
• Monitor shipments and follow up on outstanding documentation or clearance issues
• Coordinate with internal teams and the client to resolve operational issues and avoid delays
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all shipments are processed according to established procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, import operations, customs clearance, or a similar field
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle a high volume of shipments
• Experience working with shipping and customs documentation
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Strong written and spoken English
• Comfortable working with multiple systems and handling repetitive operational processes accurately
• Experience with invoicing and shipment management systems is a plus
