ForeverMissed.com is a social memorial platform that helps people honor and remember loved ones who have passed away. The platform serves over 300,000 monthly visitors and handles media uploads, tributes, payments, and white-label deployments for partner organizations worldwide.

We are in an active migration: moving a large legacy codebase (Zend 2 + jQuery) to a modern Laravel + Vue 3 architecture with a REST API and white-label infrastructure. The Vue 3 SPA foundation and component library are already built — this role is about extending, refining, and migrating features into that foundation.

About the Role

We are looking for a junior QA specialist to join our small core team and take ownership of manual testing across the platform. This is a hands-on role: you will test features as they move through our workflow, from the moment a task lands in QA to the final pre-release check on staging, and you will help keep the site stable and dependable in production.

There is a lot to learn technically here, but experience matters less than curiosity, attention to detail, and the discipline to write a bug report someone else can act on without needing to ask you follow-up questions.

What You Will Work On

• Test Planning: Creating and maintaining clear checklists and basic test cases for new features directly in Teamwork.
• Functional Testing: Manual cross-browser and cross-platform (desktop/mobile) testing of core platform flows: registration, memorial creation, gallery uploads, privacy settings, and payment processes.
• Defect Management: Isolating issues and writing crystal-clear bug reports (with precise reproduction steps, screenshots, and logs) that a developer can act on without asking follow-up questions. Verifying fixes once deployed.
• Technical QA: Using browser DevTools (Network, Elements, Console) to investigate what is actually breaking under the hood. Conducting basic API checks and writing simple SQL SELECT queries to verify data integrity.
• Release & Regression: Running regression tests on the staging environment before releases and executing smoke tests on production post-deploy to catch any regressions.

Requirements

Must have:

• Prior manual QA experience or a completed QA course
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing
• Comfortable using a web browser’s developer tools well enough to inspect a network request or a page element
• Clear written English, since documentation and bug reports are in English
• A proactive attitude: asking the right question before testing, not after
• Comfortable with everyday office and spreadsheet tools for organizing test runs and checklists

Nice to have:

• Comfortable with AI tools such as Claude
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Familiarity with a bug tracker or test-case tool, such as Jira, TestRail, or Teamwork
• Exposure to Postman or another API testing tool
• Exposure to Cypress, Playwright, or any test automation framework
• Russian or Ukrainian language ability, since day-to-day team communication runs in both
