Duty Station: Kyiv

Type of Appointment: Official employment under a fixed-term contract until 11.12.2026 with the possibility of extension

Estimated Start Date: ASAP

Salary: 68 400 UAH gross / 52 668 UAH

About MAG in Ukraine:

Since the Russian invasion of 24th February, Ukraine has been subjected to heavy artillery bombardment, missiles, and air strikes, as well as the use of landmines and cluster munitions. The scale of the conflict and the use of high impact and indiscriminate weapons requires an urgent and extensive response. MAG seeks to save lives and build safer futures by providing risk education to communities, to help them stay safe. MAG is also in the process of seeking accreditation to start conducting explosive ordnance disposal and demining activities in Ukraine, to save the lives of people affected by the conflict.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the quality of data submitted by operational teams and verify its accuracy and completeness.
  • Deliver training to teams on information management.
  • Support the Information Management team in preparing responses to data requests from other MAG departments and external organisations.
  • Arrange the transfer of paper-based data from operational bases to the relevant government reporting authorities, as required.
  • Support IMSM and IMO in data collection, verification, analysis and dissemination processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy, quality and integrity of data.
  • Monitor reporting requirements and inform the Information Management team of any changes.
  • Ensure compliance with MAG’s internal and global policies on Information Management (IM).
  • Support knowledge sharing and the documentation of best practices.
  • Provide technical support to staff on Information Management (IM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience in information management, data processing or data verification.
  • Skills in data collection, verification, processing and analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure data quality.
  • An understanding of information management processes and data handling.
  • The ability to work effectively with different departments and stakeholders.
  • An understanding of data processing and document management procedures.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience or knowledge of GIS would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to provide technical support to users.
  • A commitment to ethical standards and organisational values.

Additional (Desirable) Skills

  • Experience with IMSMA would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Experience in the mine action sector would be an advantage.
  • Experience with ESRI tools (Survey123, Field Maps, ArcGIS Online) would be an advantage.

Ступінь конфлікту та використання сильнодіючої та невибіркової зброї вимагає негайного реагування. Метою MAG є рятувати життя та будувати безпечне майбутнє шляхом надання людям освітньої інформації про ризики, щоб допомагати їм залишатися в живих. MAG також знаходиться в процесі акредитації, щоб розпочати проведення робіт зі знешкодження вибухонебезпечних предметів та розмінування в Україні з метою рятування життя людей, які постраждали від конфлікту. Обов’язки:

  • Моніторинг якості даних, що подаються операційними командами, та перевірка їхньої точності й повноти.
  • Проведення навчання для команд з питань управління інформацією.
  • Надання підтримки інформаційно-аналітичному відділу в підготовці відповідей на запити щодо даних від інших підрозділів MAG та зовнішніх організацій.
  • Організація передачі паперових даних з операційних баз до відповідних державних органів звітності за потреби.
  • Надання підтримки IMSM та IMO у процесах збору, перевірки, аналізу та поширення даних.
  • Забезпечення точності, якості та цілісності даних.
  • Моніторинг вимог до звітності та інформування інформаційно-аналітичного відділу про зміни.
  • Забезпечення відповідності внутрішнім та глобальним політикам MAG у сфері IM.
  • Підтримка обміну знаннями та документування найкращих практик.
  • Надання технічної підтримки співробітникам з питань IM та GIS.

  • Досвід роботи у сфері управління інформацією, обробки або перевірки даних.
  • Навички збору, перевірки, обробки та аналізу даних.
  • Уважність до деталей та здатність забезпечувати якість даних.
  • Розуміння процесів управління інформацією та роботи з даними.
  • Вміння взаємодіяти з різними підрозділами та зацікавленими сторонами.
  • Розуміння процесів обробки даних та документообігу.
  • Здатність працювати з кількома завданнями та дотримуватися дедлайнів.
  • Досвід або знання GIS буде перевагою.
  • Розвинені комунікаційні та організаційні навички.
  • Здатність надавати технічну підтримку користувачам.
  • Дотримання етичних стандартів та цінностей організації.

Додаткові (бажані) навички

  • Досвід роботи з IMSMA буде перевагою, але не є обов’язковим.
  • Досвід у сфері протимінної діяльності буде перевагою.
