  • Monitor the security environment in Ukraine and share timely, clear updates and recommendations with staff and leadership
  • Support risk assessments for program activities and events
  • Organize security onboarding, briefings, training, and exercises for staff
  • Coordinate the internal response to security incidents and prepare incident reports
  • Maintain emergency action plans, communication protocols, and evacuation and contingency procedures
  • Support background checks of candidates, grantees, contractors, and other partners within the organization’s security procedures
  • Build relationships with local contacts, peer organizations, and relevant service providers

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Ukraine’s security environment and practical approaches to assessing and managing risks
  • Ability to make timely, informed decisions and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with colleagues across different teams
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and readiness to handle daily operational tasks
  • Familiarity with travel risk management, incident reporting, or security training
  • Ability to work independently and adapt security practices to a small, dynamic NGO
