About the Group and the Role

The Group is a next-gen defense company that brings together high-performing Ukrainian manufacturers into a single platform designed to build, scale, and deploy systems proven in real battlefield conditions. The Group integrates this expertise into system-level solutions that detect, identify, and neutralize aerial threats, with its core product being an integrated, ready-to-deploy counter-drone system supported by services and CONOPS.

As the Group expands through the growth of existing businesses and integration of new operating companies, we are seeking a Deputy CFO to lead the journey of professionalizing the local finance teams and harmonizing the accounting standards to follow International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The role focuses on financial integration, professionalization, consistent application of IFRS accounting policies, and reliable reporting, forecasts and budgets for group consolidation, working closely with the CFO and finance team in Denmark.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the local finance manager’s and CFO’s in professionalizing their finance functions, thereby ensuring timely and high-quality monthly reporting according to Group timelines and readiness for BIG Four audit procedures.
  • Support the operating companies to ensure strong procedures across the whole company for Budgets and Forecasts.
  • Identify variations between local GAAP and IFRS Implementation across Operating Companies and ensure operating companies report financials to Group IFRS reporting.
  • Guide and train local finance teams in transitioning from Ukrainian accounting standards and practices to Group IFRS reporting requirements.
  • Resolve technical accounting issues under IFRS, including revenue recognition, inventory valuation, fixed assets, impairment and intercompany transactions, with a focus on manufacturing and defense technology.
  • Establish a roadmap for hands-on transition to and implementation of IFRS across existing and newly integrated operating companies in Ukraine.
  • Support implementation of one single Business Intelligence system across the Group to ensure adequate management data and reporting availability both in the operating companies and at Group level.
  • Evaluate current ERP and accounting systems to build a roadmap for new ERP implementation.

Financial Integration and Group Consolidation Support

  • Support the financial onboarding and integration of new operating companies joining the group.
  • Ensure accurate, timely and complete monthly and quarterly IFRS reporting packages from operating companies for group management reporting and financial consolidation.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts, transactions and balances across group entities.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact between operating companies, the CFO in Denmark, and external auditors and IFRS advisers.

Operational Finance and Management Reporting

  • Streamline financial reporting data flows from operating companies to provide management with clear, actionable insights consistent with IFRS financial data.
  • Assist operating companies in aligning budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting with group reporting requirements and ensuring consistency with IFRS financial data.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and drive practical improvements in financial reporting efficiency and accounting systems.

Candidate Requirements

  • A university degree in finance, accounting, audit or economics.
  • At least five years of practical experience in finance, IFRS accounting, audit or financial controlling within multi-entity or manufacturing environments. Experience with a Big Four firm or an international audit network is highly valued.
  • Proven hands-on experience implementing IFRS and transitioning operating companies from local GAAP to IFRS reporting.
  • Deep technical understanding of key IFRS standards and group consolidation principles.
  • Strong practical experience with multi-company financial structures and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with the integration of ERP and accounting systems.
  • English at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or above, sufficient for daily professional communication with the Danish team and CFO.

Desirable

  • ACCA, DipIFR, CPA or an equivalent professional qualification, completed or in progress.
  • Experience in multi-entity manufacturing, defense or technology groups.
  • Direct involvement in financial integration following acquisitions or other combinations of businesses.
