INFOBUS connects passengers with transport providers through online ticket booking and develops technology that supports ticket sales and transport operations. Since 2002, we have been making travel planning and ticket purchasing more accessible.

We are looking for a Chief Accountant to lead our Czech accounting function and a team of two accountants. You will bring structure and expertise to a business where technology, international services and cross-border transactions meet.

This role combines team leadership with hands-on responsibility for complex accounting matters. Your work will ensure reliable reporting, effective controls and better accounting processes across our Czech operations.

Your role

• Lead the accounting team: allocate responsibilities, review work, provide technical guidance and keep deadlines on track.

• Own closing and reporting: oversee period-end closing, prepare annual statutory financial statements and ensure timely submission of DPH, DPPO, kontrolní hlášení and souhrnné hlášení.

• Maintain accurate accounts: oversee business transactions, cash movements, receivables, payables and counterparty reconciliations.

• Manage international accounting: ensure the correct treatment of foreign currency transactions and cross-border services within and outside the EU.

• Coordinate audits and tax inspections: prepare supporting documentation and work directly with auditors, tax authorities and external advisers.

• Improve accounting processes: identify tax risks, strengthen internal controls and collaborate with other departments to reduce manual work and improve data quality.

What you bring

• Experience independently managing the full accounting cycle of a Czech company, including annual financial statements and tax returns.

• Strong practical knowledge of Czech accounting and tax legislation, with experience in international transactions, audits and tax inspections.

• Experience supervising accountants, allocating work and reviewing results.

• Proficiency in POHODA, advanced Excel skills, and practical experience with Datová schránka and MOJE daně.

• Czech sufficient for independent professional communication with authorities and advisers; Ukrainian or Russian for everyday collaboration with the team.

Experience with ERP systems, electronic document workflows and accounting automation is an advantage.
