How long are candidates willing to wait for feedback after a job interview: Work.ua research results
Most candidates are not willing to wait long for feedback after an interview.
In May 2025, Work.ua conducted a research among users to find out how long candidates are willing to wait for feedback from a recruiter before accepting another job offer.
- Nearly 80% of respondents said they expect feedback within one week.
- At the same time, more than a third of job seekers believe the response should come within the first three days after the interview.
Results of survey:
How long are you willing to wait for feedback from a recruiter after an interview before accepting another job offer?
34% — up to 3 days
23% — up to a week
21% — up to 1 day
18% — «If I don’t hear the response within a week, I keep searching or accept another offer»
4% — more than a week
*The survey was conducted in May 2025 and included responses from 547 job seekers.
The results show that candidates expect quick feedback after the interview. For employers, this is a clear signal: delaying communication could mean losing out on valuable talent.
Earlier, Work.ua reported that Ukraine is preparing a national Employment Strategy.
