Designed and built a caching service for page loading that keeps cached data up to date from real-time change events, reducing load on the core API.
Made it production-safe with a fallback to the primary database while the cache is not ready, protection against message-broker outages, resource limits, monitoring, and an instant on/off switch that needs no redeployment. Validated with load and fault-tolerance testing.
Reduced memory consumption of the service by moving to a newer JVM and tuning its memory layout.
Built real-time collaboration features such as user presence tracking and reliable delivery of changes with recovery of missed updates.
Reworked date and deadline handling in the core domain so that users in different regions see consistent dates. Ran online migrations of user data with dry-run and rollback, including cases with incomplete input data.
Improved Google Calendar and Outlook integrations with incremental sync, safe concurrent processing and efficient handling of large calendars.
Delivered product features across backend and frontend (React/TypeScript), including undo/redo operations, bot protection, gradual feature rollout and AI-agent integrations.

Tech Lead & Founding Engineer
