Here’s the situation...
I’ve been running a private label (PL) business on Amazon with a partner for about seven
years. While there are some internal factors preventing us from scaling the business in the near
future, I have a great working relationship with my partner, and I have no plans to change that.
However, I’d like to explore applying my expertise alongside running my own existing
business, utilizing the experience, knowledge, and skills I’ve accumulated over the years. And,
of course, earn some extra income along the way.
I handle most of the operational aspects of the business myself. Currently, the business routine
only takes 30-60 minutes per day, so I have plenty of free time. This has led me to consider
monetizing my expertise in a side project, parallel to our main business.
Here’s a quick list of what I do regularly (or conditionally regularly) in my business:
• Product selection
• Negotiations and supplier sourcing on Alibaba
• Working with freight forwarders (periodic benchmarking, etc.)
• Catalog management, including A+ content and Brand Store: Creating text, visuals, and
video content for listings, writing briefs, collaborating with contractors to finalize results;
working with tools like ChatGPT, etc.
• Setting up advertising/PPC (without third-party services)
• Using Amazon’s full range of marketing tools: Coupons, promotions, deals, Prime Exclusive
Discounts, Brand Tailored Promotions, Virtual Bundles, Creator Connections, etc.
• Deploying analytical tools, both Amazon’s internal and external ones
• Experienced in using different task manager programs and CRM systems
• Management accounting, including P&L and balance sheet
• Financial planning and inventory management
• Working with 3PL companies including for recovery goods of customer returns
• Customer service, both for end customers and on behalf of our business when dealing with
Amazon Seller Support
Before diving into Amazon, I spent 16.5 years in the banking sector (6 of those years as CEO)
and then spent 6 years running my own offline distribution business.
Somewhere in the background, I also have an MBA from a German business school, gathering
dust.

In my subjective opinion, this could be of interest to:
A) A successful, well-established Amazon private label business, where my management,
entrepreneurial, and Amazon-specific expertise could add significant value;
B) Manufacturers looking to expand their market reach and considering Amazon as one of the
channels for expansion. I understand this target audience may not resonate strongly with this
group, but who knows?
