EXPERIENCE

Backend Python Developer Dec 2024 – Present

Designed and built REST APIs in Django REST Framework that automate deployment, configuration and
clustering of 5 database engines across Kubernetes (operators, Helm, YAML manifests), Proxmox and
Linux/Windows servers.
Built the backend for automated MongoDB deployment, one of the platform’s core features, and shipped it on
schedule: standalone instances, replica sets and sharded clusters on Proxmox VMs, and standalone instances
and replica sets on Kubernetes.
Implemented server automation over SSH (Paramiko, subprocess): the backend logs into Linux servers and
runs shell commands, psql and mongosh to install, configure and cluster databases, replacing manual setup.
Improved infrastructure observability by extending the platform’s monitoring module with new features and
dashboards for host and database metrics such as disk usage and CPU load, and fixed bugs in existing Bash
and SQL checks.
Initiated and wrote pytest integration tests for the main API flows (auth, provisioning, clustering). A full
regression check now takes one command and ~5 minutes instead of 10–15 minutes by hand, and nothing
gets skipped.
Tested new features manually against requirements and edge cases and logged bugs in Excel reports for the
team.
Took part in task planning with the tech lead and PM and worked with frontend developers on API design.
Co-mentored a new developer during onboarding: reviewed his pull requests, explained parts of the codebase
and regularly checked in on his progress.
Delivered the user account area of the company website end to end (Flask backend, Webflow frontend,
authentication), from gathering and agreeing on requirements with the client and PM to release. Also
reworked the pricing calculator logic and the purchase request flow, and built new site pages.
