Leading the execution of the Drayage Strategy and overseeing Drayage
Operations.
Coordinating and managing the scheduling, dispatch, and tracking of
drayage shipments from ports to warehouses, rail ramps, and final
destinations
Covering loads for daily import/export shipments
Sending, receiving and checking all proper documentation before
releasing loads to carriers
Setting up carriers in the system and keeping them on file after verifying
carrier to meet corporate safety and quality requirements
Inside sales including quoting out for import/export opportunities
Negotiating to ensure the best costs and value to maximize profit
Using SSL's and Port's web for tracking containers and checking on their
availability
Developing and maintain strong relationships with drivers, carriers, and
port officials to ensure smooth operations
Collaborating with sales team to identify and grow opportunities or
compete for new or lost opportunities
Monitoring department process flow, and looking for best practices to
improve operational efficiency and productivity.
Creating SOP's for each process and each type of Drayage transportation
and teaching Operations together with Lead Generation team on how to
cunduct it.
