Operational course of PPRD East3 UCPM at 2022
Traveling the Emergency Services Academy of Finland,
in Kuopio, Finland.
The training is part of PPRD East3 aimed at improving cooperation between the
Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) and partner countries. The training
course, attended by representatives of Eastern Partnership countries
(representatives of the SES of Ukraine, responsible persons for civil protection
functions in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, and Moldova), included theoretical and
practical components, contributing to the establishment of interaction and friendly
contacts with relevant structures in the field of disaster prevention, response, and
elimination.

Operational course of PPRD East3 at the 2023
higher level for operational duty officers in
Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium.
The training of the EU program "PPRD East 3" on EU civil protection mechanisms
included receiving and processing requests for assistance, as well as providing
partner countries with the opportunity to refine and test their own procedures for
requesting assistance. Part of the course was conducted by staff from the DG
ECHO, which coordinates response, maintains a reserve of civil protection assets,
and provides other support to countries affected by disasters within the EU Civil
Protection Mechanism.
