backwashing filters, and duplex lubricating oil filters.
• Bunkering Operations & Fuel Analysis: Assisting during bunkering operations, taking representative
fuel samples (MARPOL samples), and conducting onboard tests for density, viscosity, and water-in-fuel
contamination.
• Lube Oil Analysis: Sampling and conducting routine onboard testing of lubricating oil from the Main
Engine crankcase, Auxiliary Engines to monitor base number (BN) and contamination levels.
• Boiler Water Chemical Treatment: Performing daily chemical water testing for the auxiliary boiler and
feed-water systems, ensuring correct chemical dosing to prevent scaling and corrosion.
• Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Maintenance and Monitoring: Checking the operation of the STP
and performing effluent water quality analyses to maintain strict compliance with MARPOL Annex IV
regulations.
• Alfa Laval Centrifugal Purifiers Operation: Operating and overhauling of Alfa Laval fuel oil and lubricating
oil separators.
• Daily & Bunker Tank Soundings: Taking daily manual soundings and ullages of fuel oil, lube oil, bilge,
and ballast tanks, and cross-checking data with remote gauging systems.
• Fluid Transfer & Pipeline Line-up: Setting up valve configurations and lining up pipelines for safe internal
transfers of fuel oil, lube oil, and bilges under senior officer supervision.
• Emergency Equipment Maintenance: Assisting in the regular testing and maintenance of the 330 kW
Emergency Generator, emergency fire pump, and quick-closing valves.
• Emergency Drills Participation: Actively participating in onboard safety drills (fire in the engine room,
