Client-server mail application implementing the SMTP protocol with secure data
transmission. The system includes a Qt-based client, a server, a database, logging, and
IMAP integration. Email encoding and decoding, including Base64 and MIME attachments,
ensures safe transmission and compatibility with standard mail clients. Worked with
TCP sockets, SMTP/IMAP protocols, encryption, and secure communication mechanisms.

Designed and implemented a secure communication layer using key exchange and
encryption (libsodium).
Integrated STARTTLS support into the existing SMTP and IMAP session and parser without
modifying core protocol logic
Implemented Base64 encoding/decoding for both in-memory and streaming use
cases following the MIME standard
Wrote unit tests covering encryption handshake, full encrypt-transmit-decrypt
cycle, and all Base64 edge cases
Worked with low-level TCP networking and secure transport protocols
Participated in code reviews, debugging, and integration within a distributed team
