WORK EXPERIENCE
Python Backend Developer — Dataforest Dec 2023 – Present
Fintech service that auto-prevents chargebacks: ingests card-network dispute alerts and lets merchants review or
refund orders within the response window before a dispute becomes a chargeback.
Stack: Python, Django, DRF, PostgreSQL, Celery, Redis, AWS (Lambda, S3, SES, CloudWatch), Docker, Stripe, Adyen,
Shopify.
• Was the first developer on the product: set up its initial architecture and core processes and built one of its
central modules end-to-end. The system grew into a profitable solution for the client.
• Built and shipped the integrations with major payment providers (Stripe, Adyen, Shopify) the product relies
on, and modeled the dispute and order workflows at the core of its business logic.
• Designed and optimized complex, data-heavy functionality for speed and scale — sharply reducing response
times and reworking large-volume data processing to run reliably, including features that span multiple data
sources, built together with a data engineer.
• Delivered changes safely on a live product with no downtime, and investigated production issues end-to-end
(incorrect statuses, unexpected invoices, broken integrations), tracing them to their root cause.
• Owned the release process and code review, and mentored junior developers — onboarding them, guiding
their work, and running internal knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Worked closely with product managers, analysts, QA, and frontend to clarify requirements and remove
blockers, and repeatedly stepped in under tight deadlines to fix and finish critical work.
Backend Developer — Steelkiwi Sep 2021 – Oct 2023

• Recruiting management app (iOS / Android backend): authentication, dashboards, data export, and new
features.
• Vintage (vintage-goods marketplace): authentication, database upgrade, new features, and bug fixing.
