• Initiated a full network infrastructure overhaul: designed and deployed a Cisco Meraki environment
(MX firewall, MS switches, APs), migrating the clinic off legacy Asus & D-Link equipment.
• Re-cabled and re-patched the entire office, eliminating 2 redundant switches and reducing inter-node
LAN latency from 5ms to <1ms.
• Designed and implemented a static IP addressing scheme and VLAN segmentation, prioritizing traffic
for security cameras, the server, and NAS.
• Coordinated with Rogers, Ubiquiti, Maxident, Sirona, and Zoomfone to evaluate VoIP, static IP, and
POS/SMS provider options, and to troubleshoot ISP and hardware issues during the upgrade.
• Installed and configured a NAS server with secured shared folders, a custom log server (NXLog), and a
hybrid backup system that saves the clinic $4,000 yearly.
• Improved security posture: enforced 2FA on network management dashboards, centralized credentials
management, deployed antivirus and firewall/IDS-IPS controls, and authored an incident-response
report after identifying a security exposure.
• Created documentation from scratch: password management, monthly administrator diaries, network
diagrams, and IT infrastructure records using Pandoc & Markdown, KeePassXC, Microsoft Word &
Excel, and Draw.io.
• Provide ongoing on-site and remote support to clinic staff: troubleshooting, software installation, and
contract/vendor coordination.
