● A bit on languages: I grew up in California, a multicultural, predominantly English and Spanish-
speaking environment, so I natively speak with a Western North American English accent, and
understand and speak some Spanish too. I informally studied Tamil in Tamil Nadu, India for a
year. I lived in Southeast Asia for a couple years, so I am familiar with Indonesian and Malay.
Likewise I lived in Kyiv for two years so I’m familiar with Ukrainian and Russian.
● As a lifelong learner, and occasional wikipedia editor, my interests are diverse: pedagogy,
indoctrination, feminism, history, anthropology, institutions and institutionalization, social
movements, gender, music, dance, theories of culture, ecology, and evolution
● I consider myself to be empathetic, creative, kind, playful, sociable, serious, knowledgeable,
absurd, and easily able to build rapport with people. We’ll get along just fine :)
