Meeting Room Booking System | Full-Stack Project

Project: A full-stack meeting room booking system where users reserve 15-minute
time slots and see schedule changes in real time. Built with a focus on
concurrency-safe booking: when several requests for the same slot arrive at the same
moment, exactly one succeeds and the others receive a clear conflict response.

Repository: github.com/Mykhailo29199/meeting-room-booking | Live demo: Azure
Web App

Technologies: C#, .NET 10, ASP.NET Core Web API, Entity Framework Core, Angular,
TypeScript, SignalR, Azure SignalR Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Web App, JWT,
GitHub Actions, Unit of Work, Claude Code.

• Designed the concurrency control around a composite primary key on
individual booking slots, so overlapping bookings are rejected atomically by the
database, with no “check if free, then insert” race.
• Mapped unique-key violations to a 409 Conflict response while keeping all
other database errors as real errors.
• Wrote automated concurrency tests that race 20 simultaneous HTTP requests
for the same slot and for overlapping ranges, asserting that exactly one
booking is created; the same scenarios also run against SQL Server.
• Implemented real-time schedule updates with SignalR and Azure SignalR
Service, so all viewers see bookings and cancellations without refreshing.
• Implemented JWT authentication with role-based access (user / admin) and
admin management of resources, protected by optimistic concurrency and
row-level locking.
• Built the Angular client with a daily slot schedule, booking, cancellation, and
admin screens.
• Structured the backend in layers (API, Application, Infrastructure) with the Unit
of Work pattern.
• Deployed to Azure Web App with Azure SQL Database through a GitHub
Actions pipeline that builds, tests, and deploys on every push to main, using
OpenID Connect instead of stored secrets.
• Developed with Claude Code as a pair programmer: documented design
decisions in CLAUDE.md, created custom skills for pre-commit checks, and kept
an atomic commit history.

Game Store Web API | Pet Project

Project: A backend system for a digital game marketplace that allows users to browse
games, manage their accounts, and interact with the platform through a RESTful API.
The project was built as a practical implementation of modern .NET development
practices and focused on applying real-world concepts such as authentication,
database management, software architecture patterns, and clean code principles.

Technologies: C#, ASP.NET Core Web API, Entity Framework Core, ASP.NET Core
Identity, MS SQL Server, MongoDB, Git, Repository Pattern, Unit of Work.

• Developed a backend application for an online game store using ASP.NET Core
Web API.
• Designed and implemented RESTful API endpoints for managing games, users,
and related entities.
• Implemented CRUD functionality for creating, retrieving, updating, and
deleting application data.
• Built a three-layer architecture (Presentation, Business Logic, and Data Access
layers) to improve maintainability and separation of concerns.
• Used Entity Framework Core with Code First approach and migrations for
relational database management.
• Implemented authentication and authorization using ASP.NET Core Identity.
• Applied the Repository and Unit of Work patterns to organize data access logic
and manage transactions efficiently.
• Integrated MongoDB for storing and managing additional application data.
• Designed database entities and established relationships between them.
• Performed testing and debugging to ensure application stability and
correctness.
• Used Git for version control and tracking project changes.
• Improved understanding of backend development practices, software
architecture principles, and API design.
