• Designed and built an async REST API and data model for nutrition, workouts, social features and chat, with strict input validation via Pydantic.
• Audited and fixed security issues: privilege escalation through the role field, missing access checks on admin endpoints and unsafe file uploads.
• Developed a dynamic JavaScript/Tailwind client with reliable handling of network states.
• Added AI meal recognition from text, photos and barcodes using the Gemini API.
