A major challenge in the area of batch processing and backup is the growth of information throughout the enterprise. Some analysts believe it’s as high as 60 percent per year. While tape has always provided the most inexpensive, yet accessible, storage available for batch backups, disaster recovery, and long-term archives, it has its limitations. Today’s data centers face demand for better SLAs, long backup and restore operations, complex and costly tape management processes, and the risk of missing information due to lost or damaged tapes. In addition to classic backup and recovery, mainframe environments use tape for extended online storage of information such as billing records and call center data.

Незважаючи на те, що магнітна стрічка є широкодоступним і найдешевшим накопичувачем для пакетного архівування й аварійного відновлення даних, а також створення архівів для довготривалого зберігання інформації, цей метод має свої обмеження. Сучасні центри обробки даних потребують удосконалених схем матриць запам'ятовуючих логічних елементів, довготривалих операцій резервного копіювання й відновлення інформації, складних і витратних операцій з управління стрічками, а також зменшення ризику втрати інформації через загублену чи пошкоджену плівку. We resist the idea that Google search results can be influenced with optimization techniques. The position of a result in a Google.com search is generated using Google’s PageRankTM algorithm, which is a system for ranking web pages developed by Google’s founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin at Stanford University. PageRank assesses the relative importance of a result based on objective indicators such as traffic, inbound and outbound links, etc. While relevant ads run above and next to our results, Google does not sell placement within the results themselves (i.e., no one can buy a particular or higher placement in Google’s search results).
Search engine optimization is a nebulous practice that encompasses a range of things from well-structured website design to fraudulent link exchanges. While we recognize that there are best practices associated with website design (e.g. meta tags, image tags, text-based links, etc.), we are not comfortable with relating those practices back to the broadly defined practice of search engine optimization.

Невдовзі українська автомобільна промисловість цілковито зміниться. Раніше вона працювала виключно за правилом попиту й пропозиції, підкріпленим недорогими, доступними кредитами. Однак у майбутньому обсяг кредитних ресурсів суттєво зменшиться, що змусить покупця обирати більш ретельно й вимогливо. Через це дилерам буде набагато важче продавати автомобілі, але не через цінову політику й підхід до якості, а з огляду на зміну систем, які вони використовують, щоб приваблювати покупців. Дилерська система на українському автомобільному ринку стане більш схожою на європейську й американську, тобто відтепер головним буде саме покупець.
Міжнародні правила в такій життєво важливій сфері, як безпека пасажирів і перехожих, стають дедалі жорсткішими, через що в конструюванні автомобілів прослідковується тенденція до гомогенізації. Створення моделі, що не лише відповідає стандартам безпеки чи перевищує їх, а й одночасно дає змогу із задоволенням проводити час за кермом – це доволі важке завдання, що вимагає креативності, новаторства й використання передових технологій. У Honda ми ніколи не йдемо стандартним шляхом оснащення моделей новими системами, копіюючи конкурентів. Кожна передова технологія, використана в наших автомобілях, має відповідати основним цінностям компанії, таким як задоволення від водіння, екологічна відповідальність і безпека. Головне, щоб клієнт посміхався кожного разу, коли заводить двигун нашої машини чи виконує чистий і чіткий поворот… ось що ми, у Honda, називаємо задоволенням від водіння.

It is easy to see why designing a more dangerous version of H5N1 would raise concerns. A virus which can kill half of the people it infects and could spread rapidly from person to person is the stuff of Hollywood disaster movies.
However, the research could reveal important insights that could prevent such an infection arising in the wild and help build defenses just in case.
The studies in ferrets showed that five to nine mutations were needed to get H5N1 spreading through the air from animal to animal.
This helps health officials tracking the virus as they can keep an eye out for danger signs in the virus' genetic code. Two of the mutations have been seen in the wild - but alone are not enough to set alarm bells ringing.

Одним из наиболее важных отличий Chrome от других браузеров является способ работы со вкладками. Каждая вкладка – это отдельный процесс, что дает ряд преимуществ. Во-первых, если сайт по каким-то причинам "зависает", это никак не влияет на работу с остальными вкладками. Во-вторых, благодаря такому подходу обеспечивается дополнительная защита от вредоносных сайтов. Если, например, просматривая сайты на одной из вкладок, пользователь подвергнется вирусной атаке, он может быть уверен, что конфиденциальная информация, которую он вводит на другой вкладке, останется недоступной для трояна.

Но вернемся к вкладкам. Их можно выносить за пределы браузера, создавая тем самым отдельные окна, а также перемещать внутри одного окна или между окнами. Щелкнув правой кнопкой мыши по вкладке, можно увидеть небольшое меню с несколькими командами для управления ими. Например, можно одним щелчком мыши закрыть все вкладки, кроме текущей, закрыть все вкладки, которые были открыты в результате перехода по внешним ссылкам с текущей страницы, закрыть вкладки, расположенные справа от текущей.

Chrome's tab management system distinguishes it from other web browsers. Each tab operates in its own separate process, which offers several advantages. Firstly, if one site is causing issues, it won’t affect the performance of other tabs. Secondly, this approach provides additional protection against malware. For instance, if a virus attacks while a user is browsing one tab, any confidential information being entered in another tab remains secure from the Trojan.
To check if each tab is running as a separate process, you can use Chrome's built-in task manager, which can be accessed by pressing Shift + Esc. This brings up a list of all open tabs, installed extensions, and running scripts, along with information about the system resources each is using. If necessary, you can close any individual process from this manager. Additionally, detailed statistics for system administrators are available, showing data about the memory used by Chrome as well as any other browsers running on the system.
Returning to tabs, they can be moved within a window or between different windows, and you can drag and drop them outside the browser to create independent windows. Right-clicking on a tab brings up a context menu with several options for managing tabs. For example, you can close all tabs except the current one, close all tabs that were opened as a result of external links from the current page, or close all tabs to the right of the current tab.
