MOTIVATION LETTER
Dear Sir\Madam,

I am writing to apply to the position of a Field Officer for the Missing/Restoring Family Links (RFL) Unit (Donetsk).

I have graduated from Donetsk National Technical University in 2010, majoring in Foreign Economic Activity. My experience includes working in Foreign Trade Firm “Interdonbass” as a logistic manager and economist for over 10 years, but, unfortunately, the activity of this firm halted in 2014 because of the military conflict in Donbass Region. My work responsibilities include contacting suppliers and clients, transporting supplies to different cities and town in Donetsk and Lugansk Regions, organizing storage and handling documents. Since then, I have also received experience working in client support.
I view this work as an opportunity to help victims of the military conflict in my region. I currently live in a district that was badly damaged during the active phase of the conflict, and I can see that its recovery will take a lot of time and resources. However, ICRC missionaries often visit our district, providing humanitarian aid to local citizens. Witnessing their work, I decided that the more people will help humanitarian missions like ICRC, the faster their own household and the households of other war-stricken will return to normal life.
My previous work required a lot of planning, as well as contacting people of different occupations in Ukraine and abroad. I hope that this can be an asset in my future employment, as it helped me to develop strong negotiation and communication skills. I also have good analytical skills and can act in unpredictable situations or under pressure. Lastly, I am an easy-going, fast-learning person who values being a part of the team.

I am a native speaker of Russian and Ukrainian, and I have a good command in oral and written English (upper-intermediate level). Also, I am a confident PC user.

I hope that you will consider my application for this vacancy.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Tymur Serednytskyy
