Recently we’ve decided to reinforce our international team by employing a lawyer knowledgeable in private international law and having an understanding of the specifics of working with intellectual property. You will be responsible for organizing legal support for complex cross-border projects in the field of content creation, distribution and monetization.
In your cover letter please briefly describe your experience in handling complex legal transactions, complicated by international relations, and specify your salary expectations.
Tasks you are expected to handle:
- Working with agency, advertising, music, production, partnership contracts and service agreements, primarily bilingual ones;
- Legal support for the processes of creation and use of intellectual property;
- Legal support for FinTech contracts;
- Development of legal roadmaps for company projects;
- Assessment of legal, financial-accounting and related risks. Providing consultations to company employees and partners. Preparation of legal opinions;
- Legal analysis and drafting of contracts, letters, instructions of various kinds, and other legal documents.
- Conducting negotiations and business correspondence (including in English), interacting with other departments of the company within the framework of processes for contract and other legal document approvals.
Things we require:
- Good command of international private law;
- Excellent knowledge of contract law, experience in drafting comprehensive contracts (especially in the fields of content creation and use, advertising, agency, and service provision);
- Experience in working with contracts based on common law principles;
- Experience of at least 1 year with transactions involving foreign relations;
- Excellent understanding of the fundamentals of intellectual property law, as well as a basic understanding of intellectual property basics in the common law system;
- Basic knowledge of tax law and application of norms on double taxation avoidance;
- English proficiency sufficient for working with bilingual contracts and participating in negotiations with clients (not lower than upper-intermediate and legal English is a must)
