Job description

About Serve Freight

Serve Freight is a growing freight brokerage built on execution, accountability, and clear communication. We partner closely with both carriers and customers to move freight reliably in fast-moving, real-world conditions.

We are not a volume-at-all-costs shop. We value strong relationships, follow-through, and operators who take ownership of outcomes.

Position Summary

Serve Freight is seeking a Senior Carrier Sales Representative to own carrier capacity execution for customer freight and serve as a top-performing individual contributor within our carrier sales function.

This role is not a people management position today. The Senior Carrier Sales Representative is expected to operate independently, manage higher-volume and higher-complexity freight, and consistently deliver strong execution outcomes.

As Serve Freight continues to scale, high performers in this role will be considered for future team lead responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, and capacity coverage across assigned lanes
  • Independently manage high-volume and higher-complexity freight
  • Protect margin while maintaining service reliability and strong carrier relationships
  • Build and maintain a dependable network of repeat carrier partners
  • Resolve carrier issues and service exceptions quickly and professionally
  • Partner closely with customer sales and operations teams to ensure clean execution
  • Maintain accurate, timely records within CRM and TMS systems
  • Provide ongoing market feedback on pricing, capacity, and lane conditions

Qualifications

  • 4−7+ years of carrier sales or freight brokerage experience
  • Demonstrated ability to independently cover freight while managing margin
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized, dependable, and accountable
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment
  • Experience using DAT, Truckstop, and CRM or TMS platforms

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent, reliable coverage of customer freight
  • Strong utilization of repeat carrier partners
  • Minimal escalations and service failures
  • Clean handoffs and accurate documentation
  • Trusted execution partner to internal teams

Growth Path

This is a senior-level execution role with a clear opportunity to grow into a Carrier Sales Team Lead position as the business scales and leadership needs emerge.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives
  • Autonomy and ownership over execution
  • Exposure to complex freight and strategic lanes
  • Clear growth pathway tied directly to performance
  • A culture built on accountability, execution, and trust
