About the role:

TheHead of Recruitment & Driver Relations will lead and develop the company’s driver recruitment strategy while overseeing the Recruitment Team and strengthening driver engagement initiatives. You will work closely with HR, Marketing, Operations, Fleet, Safety, and Driver Relations to improve hiring processes, expand recruitment channels, build strategic partnerships, and drive long-term recruitment and retention success across the organization.

Schedule: US working hours (Chicago Time), 8:00 AM — 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute driver recruitment strategies to meet current and future hiring needs.
• Lead, coach, and manage the recruitment team, establishing KPIs and performance standards.
• Monitor recruiting metrics, analyze market trends, and drive continuous process improvements.
• Build and manage partnerships with recruiting agencies, CDL schools, military transition programs, and other driver talent sources.
• Oversee driver referral programs to increase participation and hiring conversions.
• Partner with Driver Relations to improve driver satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
• Collaborate with Operations, Safety, Compliance, Fleet, Marketing, and Driver Administration teams to support hiring and onboarding objectives.
• Strengthen employer branding and support recruitment marketing initiatives to attract qualified drivers.
• Track and report on recruitment performance, including hiring metrics, recruiter productivity, cost-per-hire, turnover, and retention.
• Manage recruitment vendors, budgets, and cost-effective sourcing strategies.
• Develop training programs, best practices, and ongoing coaching for recruitment staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive recruitment experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role within trucking, transportation, or logistics.
• Proven experience leading high-volume driver recruitment teams.
• Background in recruitment management, talent acquisition leadership, or a similar role.
• Experience managing recruitment agencies, vendors, and external recruiting partnerships.
• Strong knowledge of CDL driver recruiting and relationships with driver training organizations.
• Expertise in recruitment analytics, workforce planning, KPI management, and retention strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and executive leadership teams.
