About the job

🕑 Working hours

  • The working day starts at 14:00 Kyiv time and runs into the evening, so that it overlaps with the US business day, when venues, partners, and investors are reachable.
  • This schedule is fixed and is a core part of the role. Please apply only if it suits you.

🛠 What you will do

  1. 🎯 Find the best locations and partners
  • Actively look for the best venues in each of our cities, ones that raise the quality of our events, rather than waiting for venues to come to us.
  • Find and close the strongest partnerships available: venues, coworking spaces, startup hubs, sponsors and organisations to run joint events with.
  • Track which cities and venues work best for us and replace a location as soon as a better option appears.

2. 📍 Secure venues

  • Look for venues in our target cities: coworking spaces, startup hubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and event spaces that suit a 3-hour evening event with a screen, a microphone and room for 50 to 100 people.
  • Call and email venues in the US, Canada, Europe and beyond, and pitch the partnership to them.
  • Negotiate terms. Most venues won’t give the room away for free. They usually waive the room fee in exchange for a food and beverage minimum, so your job is to get the best deal for both sides.
  • Confirm each booking for its date, collect invoices and keep the status of every venue current in our internal platform.
  • Keep a bench of backup venues, so that losing one location doesn’t put an event at risk.

3. 🤝 Build partnerships

  • Turn good venues into long-term partners that host us regularly.
  • Handle inbound partnership requests: venues offering to host, companies interested in sponsoring an event, organisations that want us to run a demo day or a special event for them.
  • Follow up until each conversation ends in a yes or a clear no. A lead that was never answered is a lead we lost.

4. 💼 Work with investors

  • Talk to the investors who attend our events: invite them, confirm they’ll come, and keep them engaged between events.
  • Help us build investor communities in our core cities.

✅ What we expect

  • Fluent spoken and written English. You need to be comfortable negotiating on the phone with venue managers in the US and Europe.
  • Experience in sales, partnerships, business development, event management or account management is a strong plus.
  • You’re comfortable negotiating money and terms, and you don’t give up after the first «no».
  • You’re organised. You’ll be juggling dozens of venue conversations across several cities and time zones and need to keep every one of them moving.
  • You can work independently, own your results and give the team clear status updates.
  • Interest in startups, venture capital and the tech community is a big plus.

🎁 What we offer

  • Fully remote work in an international company that operates in the US, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Australia.
  • A role with real impact: every venue and partner you secure becomes a live event where founders pitch to investors.
  • Direct work with the founders, quick decisions and no bureaucracy.
  • Hands-on experience negotiating with venues, sponsors and investors on the international market.
  • Internal tools that track venues, bookings, contacts and correspondence in one place.
  • 💰 Salary: from $800 per month plus a performance bonus.

📈 Growth opportunities

  • Raise the standard of our events by bringing in better venues and stronger local partners.
  • Build a network of long-term venue and sponsorship partners across every city we operate in.
  • Grow into a partnerships lead, take ownership of a portfolio of cities, or build and lead your own team.
