• Responsible for a group of vessels and for handling and effectuate the requests from the vessels in according
to company procedures.
The Purchaser should in cooperation with Technical Superintendent and the vessel keep safe and cost-
efficient operation of the vessel and assist in attending to general tasks as required .

Responsibilities

• Purchasing of spares, deliveries and forwarding to the fleet on a continuing basis in accordance with company
procedures.
• Participate in the development, maintenance and improvement of existing purchasing procedures in close co-
operation with Purchasing Manager and Technical Manager
• Participate in development and improvement of the Purchasing IT system.
• Evaluation of suppliers and follow-up the suppliers’ file
• Develop, maintain and improve the supplier files.
• Participate during the annual budgeting process.
• Follow-up her/his office in the best possible manner. Special emphasizes should be placed on the keeping of
records and filing of documents.
• Follow-up and investigate non-conformity reports assigned to him/her
