OLEKSANDRA RIABOKIN
My name is Oleksandra. I am a project manager of
educational and cultural projects and a mentor for youth
initiatives. In everything I do, I strive to have a positive
social impact and benefit Ukraine. That is why one of my
identities is "volunteer" and "non-formal education
trainer".
In this presentation, you will find brief information about
the biggest projects I have organized, as well as the main
ones where I have been a mentor.

INTRODUCTION
Ukrainian Students' League is an organization created to
develop and support the student community, as well as
movements and projects related to student life. The
Congress of the USL is a three-day event that provides
educational and practical trainings to strengthen student

self-government bodies, develop recommendations and
draft laws in the field of higher education in Ukraine, and
networking between representatives of student governments

from more than 60 higher education institutions.

The main goal of the project is the formation of a conscious
layer of the younger generation, through their involvement in
the traditions of the Ukrainian people of painting eggs.
The project was established in May 2022 in Lviv and brought
together 50 internally displaced children. In 2024, 100 ID
PYSANKA
children joined the Easter egg making workshops organised in
Dnipro.
The collection of Easter eggs painted by children and their
stories are being displayed in a charity exhibition in Dnipro. Link
July 2022 - the first charity "Shelter Fest" in Lviv central park.
The next festival we organized in Kyiv in November, at the
closed metro stations of the capital.
The festival program included music concerts, stand-ups, food
courts, and avenues of brands and NGOs.
SHELTER FEST
The purpose of both festivals was to collect funds for the
purchase of cars for the Armed Forces of of Ukraine.
Festival collected more than UAH 160,000 and united more
than 10,000 visitors at various locations. Link
Over 1000 Ukrainians from 9 countries took part in the
flash mob. In Kyiv, employees of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and representatives of the Youth Council at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs joined the action. Ukrainians

in embroidered shirts took to the square to form the
names of the countries they were in in English. The

flash mobs abroad raised funds to support Ukraine in

The main goal of the youth congress is to popularize
Ukrainian culture and historical and cultural heritage,
to unite and engage Ukrainian youth around the world

in its promotion. The congress was attended by
representatives of various ministries and international

organizations, singer Jerry Heil, chef and restaurateur

The project is aimed at strengthening the state's ties with
Ukrainians living abroad, protecting their interests, preserving
Ukrainian identity, and popularizing Ukraine in the world. In
addition, the project aims to facilitate the return of young
UA - UKRAINIANS
Ukrainians to their homeland.
“I am convinced that the project will create new opportunities
for Ukrainians and, in particular, inspire them to realize

themselves and be useful to the state during a full-scale
war,” commented Dmytro Kuleba, former Foreign Minister.

 Synergy and exchange of
experience are among the most
important values for me. That's why,
having extensive project experience,
I accept offers to mentor of beginner
teams and support them in
implementing their own projects.In
total, I acted as a mentor for 12
project teams from different regions:
from Lviv to Pokrovsk
GALICIAN
ZDYBANKA
The problem that the team addressed was the low
awareness of young people about Ukrainian
culture, its authenticity and traditions.

The team organized a one-day cultural event
where participants performed team-building
exercises, created collages on the topic “What is
Ukraine for me?” and discussed them in mini-
groups, listened to a lecture on “Ivan Kupala: Past
and Present,” and performed Ukrainian songs and
dances.
AQUAHOLICS
The problem they were addressing was the lack of
knowledge about the importance of water quality in
people's daily lives.
The team held a series of educational sessions:
- lecture “The importance of water for all living
organisms. Key indicators of water quality” and
testing of running water for hardness and pH;
- excursion to the Faculty of Chemistry;
- lecture “What affects water quality? Methods of
water purification”;
- Lecture “Atomic absorption analysis of sodium,
potassium, nitrates of the samples under study” and
practical training “Separation of nitrates from food
and water content analysis”;
- lecture “Biotesting of water quality”;
- lecture “Chemical and microbiological assessment
of water quality”.
