Mykhailo Koval is a highly qualified sustainable development, climate change and anticorruption policy expert with over 15 years of proven managerial, policy making and legal drafting experience in elaboration and implementation of wide range of public policies including those within the frame of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement both at national and international levels.

Until disestablishment of State Environmental Investment Agency of Ukraine, Mr. Koval has served as Director of International Cooperation Department and First Deputy Head of the Agency. Mr. Koval was responsible for UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol implementation on national level, including elaboration of Ukraine negotiation position, effective implementation of Joint Implementation projects (JI) and establishment of national Green Investment Scheme (GIS) with projects portfolio over 450 million EUR., elaboration of proposals regarding State Climate Change Policy, drafting of relevant legislations, implementation of EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and others.
