TCS Job Responsibilities:
• The Freight Bill Audit is responsible for improving and running efficient and accurate auditing
of the invoicing of our suppliers (such as Freight Forwarding), invoice processing as well as
supporting in financial reporting. Besides being responsible for these processes, also
responsible for continuous improvement and adaptation of new tools as well as working with
internal and external stakeholders.
• Tracking of invoices in SAP Ariba & approving those invoices for payment so that finance team
make a payment to LSPs.
• Collecting bills/invoices along with supporting documents from LSPs.
• Auditing of freight & Warehouse invoices in accordance to the FBPA Guidelines against
respective contracts.
• Analyze and interpret customer contracts and rates, audit invoice payment information, and

• The Freight Auditor will be responsible for investigating freight shipments and its invoice payment
information against contracts and applicable rates.
• The goal is to identify billing discrepancies and verify overpayments made by our client and file
overcharge claims.
• The Auditor will be required to co-ordinate with other departments and have direct
communication with carriers and/or clients to discuss various issues concerning billing accuracy.
• Knowledge of Ocean, Air, LTL, TL, or Rail freight contracts, pricing, and or billing practices.
• Perform precise quality audit of freight bills by checking the rates, fuel charges, additional
charges and tax fee etc.
• As an integral part of the team, ensure that customers are highly regarded and service
throughout the freight billing process. Anticipate and defuse potential problems, which could
include face-to-face, phone and email interactions with customers.
• Oversee receiving and shipping operations on daily basis.
• Supervise freight flow processes and maintain trackers.
• Manage the freight team efficiently to ensure on time delivery of orders.

• Strong knowledge of freight bill Analysis, Validation and Freight classifications.
• Understanding of the different shipping modes (LTL, TL, Air, Ocean) and applicable rates/pricing
(carrier rules tariffs, discounts).
• Understanding of freight terminology (BOL, POD, Freight charges, Fuel and accessorial charges).
• Basic knowledge of Excel like VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Table etc.
