Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced mid-senior full-stack developer with 5−10 years of experience to join our engineering team. In this role, you will lead small, hyper-productive teams of up to 5 people, working with modern technologies including NextJS, React, and Node.js to create and deploy robust, scalable applications using microservice architecture. You will drive daily release cycles using trunk-based development methodology while maintaining high code quality and team collaboration standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead and coordinate small development teams through 2-week sprint cycles
• Drive execution excellence and build repeatable development processes
• Identify and resolve systemic inefficiencies, such as missing or duplicated testing frameworks
• Standardise tooling and practices across multiple teams
• Support Product and Business on roadmap planning and balancing feature velocity with infrastructure work

Development & Architecture

• Design and implement medium to large-scale features from specification to deployment
• Own feature branches from design through production deployment
• Write comprehensive tests, documentation, and instrumentation for observability
• Author clear design documents and API contracts for cross-team collaboration
• Architect fault-tolerant deployment pipelines and integrate proactive monitoring

Team Collaboration & Mentoring

• Conduct code reviews, merge PRs and provide actionable feedback to team members
• Collaborate with cross-platform teams including Unity, AI/ML, Android, iOS and macOS developers
• Partner with Business and Product Owners on technical decision-making
• Facilitate knowledge sharing through tutorials and technical presentations

Process & Quality Assurance

• Implement and enforce engineering best practices for error handling, logging, and monitoring
• Drive adoption of trunk-based development workflows and daily release cycles
• Conduct post-mortems and lead root-cause analyses for production issues
• Ensure code quality through comprehensive testing and peer review processes

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in back-end development with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Minimum 5 years of experience in full-stack development with NodeJS, React and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Proven experience leading small development teams

Technical Skills

• Frontend: Proficiency in NextJS, React, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Backend: Strong experience with Node.js frameworks and RESTful API development
• Database: Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• DevOps: Experience with GitOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
• Deployment: Proficiency in multi-environment deployment and containerisation with Docker
• Architecture: Experience with monorepo setups using tools like Nx or Turborepo
• APIs: Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, tRPC, WebSocket, and WebRTC

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Technical Experience

• Working knowledge of Tailwind CSS for responsive UI design

• Experience with Expo EAS Build and advanced mobile app configuration

• Familiarity with integrating third-party native libraries or writing custom native modules

• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) for application deployment

• Experience with Express Gateway and secure authentication systems

Project Management

• Agile project experience with tools like Jira

• Experience with collaboration and project management tools

• Understanding of cross-platform development challenges and solutions

Languages

Fluency in additional languages beyond English is advantageous

Schedule Flexibility

Standard schedule is Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, with core hours from 9:00—17:30 or 10:00—18:30 including a 30−60 minute break. We are open to discussing more flexible arrangements based on individual needs and team requirements.
