    Job Title: MHPSS Supervisor

    Duty Station: Kharkiv, Ukraine

    Expected starting date: September 2025

    Expected end date: 12 months

    Working Time: To be determined (under evaluation)

    Reporting Line: Protection Specialist

    Scope of the Position:

    The MHPSS Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and quality assurance of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services provided to conflict-affected populations in Kharkiv and Sumy Oblasts. The Supervisor will support mobile teams, coordinate with MHPSS actors and local authorities, and contribute to technical capacity building and case management integration.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Supervise mobile MHPSS teams delivering individual and group sessions.
    • Ensure the use of evidence-based methodologies.
    • Ensure the use of standardized tools (e.g., Kobo Toolbox) aligned with the clusters and working groups.
    • Monitor and improve the quality of psychosocial support interventions.
    • Provide technical guidance and supervision to the MHPSS mobile teams (psychologists, case workers).
    • Support the identification of high-risk cases and facilitate referrals to specialized mental health services.
    • Deliver technical trainings on trauma-informed approaches, PFA, and inclusive service delivery.
    • Coordinate with local health authorities, service providers, and the MHPSS Working Group.
    • Ensure the integration of MHPSS and protection activities (e.g., case management, awareness sessions).
    • Oversee pre- and post-assessments for MHPSS beneficiaries.
    • Participate in needs assessments and contribute to reporting and documentation.
    • Support the development of IEC materials and community mobilization strategies.
    • Participate to relevant donor and coordination meeting in Kharkiv and Sumy (cluster, working groups, coordination meeting with local authorities).

    Qualifications:

    • Advanced degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
    • Certification or specialization in MHPSS approaches (e.g., WHO mhGAP, IASC guidelines) preferred.

    Professional experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in MHPSS programming in humanitarian contexts.
    • Experience supervising psychologists or psychosocial staff.
    • Experience working with mobile units or in emergency response settings.

    Skills and Competences:

    • Deep understanding of trauma-informed and culturally sensitive MHPSS practices.
    • Strong interpersonal and training facilitation skills.
    • Ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams and manage field operations.
    • Proficient in English and Ukrainian (Russian is an asset).
    • Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
    • Commitment to ethical service provision, data protection, and safeguarding.
