Payment Operations Manager (High-Risk/Sweepstakes)

We are a fast-growing international performance marketing company specializing in subscription-based high-risk projects. We are looking for a data-driven Payment Operations Manager to take full ownership of our payment infrastructure, optimize transaction success rates, and manage relationships with acquiring banks and PSPs across global markets.

Key responsibilities:

Approve rate optimization: Monitor and enhance the «Net Approve Rate» for both initial Trial conversions and recurring billings (LTV).

Recurring billing strategy: Design and manage sophisticated retry logics, «step-down» billing (laddering), and smart scheduling to maximize subscription revenue.

PSP sourcing & Onboarding: Continuously hunt for new High-Risk payment gateways and local acquiring solutions (Tier-1, LATAM, SEA). Handle KYC and onboarding processes.

Chargeback management: Implement and manage pre-chargeback alert systems (Ethoca, Verifi/RDR). Dispute fraudulent chargebacks.

Fraud prevention: Fine-tune anti-fraud filters to block card testing and bot traffic while maintaining high conversion flows.

Infrastructure hygiene: Monitor domain and descriptor reputation to prevent blacklisting by issuing banks.

Requirements:

3+ Years in high-risk payments: Proven experience in Sweepstakes, iGaming, Nutra, or Dating niches. You must understand the specific challenges of these verticals.

Technical proficiency: Understanding of 3DS 2.0, BIN routing, Network Tokens, and Webhooks.

Analytical mindset: Ability to handle large datasets to identify patterns in declines (by GEO, Bank, or Card Type).

Networking: Existing relationships with High-Risk PSPs and acquiring banks is a massive plus.

Problem solver: Ability to restore processing within hours if a primary gateway goes down.

B2+ English: Communication skills for negotiating with international partners
